This as the best i can prove shows that the monster gloves do raise the lvl of summoned pets for BSTs since they are normally 2 lvls below you.

i looked threw the logs the night we fought it , and found nothing specail that would intrigue the shield. Also 21 dmg thunder 4 ; ;
