I've split the BLM into two groups of three in the even that we split up. I left a few spots open for any straggling DD that show up.

If you are having trouble getting the update, the maker of Windower has uploaded a self-extracting update for FFXI here:

http://windower.net/patches/ffxi.patch.4.8.2009.exe

This will update current FFXI versions with today's patch.

Yes, but after the check you will only have to download any dat files you modded instead of all 2000+ update files.

This happened to me too; it's older versions of windower. You have to either not use it, or update it.

I was able to get on. It was just a few tries of logging in and logging out and rinse and repeat and eventually I got on without an issue.

The version error had nothing to do with windower. SE screwed up the version number on the PC login side. They fixed it.
