Lately there has been a great deal of inattentiveness that is causing us to fail at implementing new--and even old--strategy. This is most frustrating for me when I take the time to explain what is going on before or during the run, only to have someone screw it up because they weren't paying attention.
It's even more frustrating for me--to the point where I've been getting really angry lately--when I explicitly tell people NOT to do things, in advance AND multiple times, only to watch them still do it, as if I had said nothing at all. The wipe we had last Sunday when pulling the SMNs at the House of the Hero and the partial wipe post-boss farming last San d'Oria are examples of unnecessary wastes of time and experience that would have been completely avoided if people were actually paying attention.
Once we are at or past the announced starting time, we should already be in Dynamis. There is to be no one AFK at this point. If you do go AFK before the start time, it is expected that you go back through the linkshell chat log and read what you missed when you return.
I fully appreciate when people are working hard and paying attention on the level that we expect, and most people are, which makes our runs successful. However, it's these completely avoidable errors that are negating progress and bringing the runs' momentum to a complete halt, and no one should accept that.
I have tried to be polite.
I have tried to be thorough.
I have tried to warn people in advance of immediate threats.
I have tried to break things down to the lowest possible level.
I have tried to not surprise people with new things at the last minute, in Dynamis.
I have tried to be tolerant to a number of excuses.
But my patience has run out.
Full AF Sets Completed!
As of last Sunday's run:
#278 - Riloth, full White Mage AF
#279 - Ocyris, full Ninja AF
#280 - Shogunassassin, full Samurai AF
Congratulations!
Run Announcement
On Sunday we will be running two consecutive Dynamis-Tavnazia runs. To prevent any delays on Wednesday, the first run will be held two hours earlier than usual:
Run #1: 5PM EST / 2PM PST
Run #2 7PM EST / 4PM PST
Sign up for the run below, indicating your run of preference and whether you would elect to sit out for another member if the total number of signups exceed the number of available number of people we can take in both runs.
Between Sunday and last Wednesday's Tavnazia runs, we will attempt to ensure everyone who is lotting eligible has had a chance to attend at least one Tavnazia. The final alliance list WILL NOT be based on first-come, first-served, but to encourage early sign-up so we can make alliances as early as possible, the deadline for Phase 1 signup is:
DEADLINE FOR ON-TIME SIGNUP: Sunday, 3AM EST / 12AM PST
Members who sign up after this deadline are not guaranteed placement in the alliances.
Item Preparation
All members are expected to bring:
- your "A" game
- Signet
- Food
- Reraise (for use during the entire run, this should be a charged item with at least 5 remaining charges)
- Echo Drops
- Eye Drops
- Antidotes
