I thought about scheduling a city run today, but during the run last night and afterwards I got a ton of requests to do a farming run in Beaucidine. Sooooo, I thought about it and think to keep things rolling this would be the best thing for us to do.

Oh Congratulations to Zymurgy who is rescently added to the Full AF2 list for NA players on our server. Can someone get us a pic of both of them so we can put them up in our Hall of Fame. lol

Just so you know what the plan is going to be for doing this.

If you look at the Beaucidine map you will see the northernmost tower. This is where the eye is located that we need to kill to pop the attestation NMs. Last time we were in beaucidine we went and tested this and it looks like there is nothing on the ramp leading up. I have been told that there is a wall of eyes at the top of the ramp leading to that last tower.

The plan is to have 1 Thief Flee + Perfect Dodge and run like crazy aggroing all mobs in the path of the "hit squad" that will be going up to kill the eye. About twelve people comprised of 2 BRDs for mazurka purposes, a Tank some BLMs, a RDM, and some rangers to go up and kill the eye. Those guys then drop their glass and have someone teleport out and come meet them to get them back in after they are done. I'm thinking it might be good to have 2 thieves. 1 to get all the stuff and 1 to come with the hit team in case there is a wall of eyes. That guy can aggro that stuff and run that away also.

Pardon my ignorance but when/where do we meet and what items do I need to bring if any? For the farming run that is. Not the Wednesday event.

Mazurka will be nullified the moment a player does an aggressive action against a mob or is hit by one. So it'll be good to get a player in, but that's about it...

Does anyone have any website links that mention doing the attestations and the hydracorps mobs?

If you mean killing the Hydracorps mobs in the way of the attestation popping eye then no I have no seen anyone post that they have done it that way. The difficulty in killing these guys coupled with the fact there is a ton of them in the way leading up there would make it almost impossible to do this in enough time to actually make it possible.

Last time I think I mentioned what happened to us. We took a small group to test this. We failed because the first eye that the THF aggroed sleega'd us. So we got delayed in following him. So the THF died before we got to getting up the slope. Then I got aggro just as we were getting up the slope and that was all she wrote for us. I have full confidence with the right people we can pull this off though.

Gonna post this now so I can get some of my Ranger hate cleared before the run.

Tangia has been added to the list of permanent priority and the zone selected for this priority is Beaucedine. Tangia is a Ranger if anyone hasn't noticed >_>.

That's pretty much all we need it for.

The leading THF will be using Flee and Perfect Dodge to get a head start; all of the eyes and the Hydra Corps they spawn will aggro and pursue the THF.

Mazurka is only for the strike parties following the pulling THF...to hopefully ensure that the parties stay close enough to the front to get to the upper ramp quickly without aggroing returning Vanguard Eyes (after the THF dies).

Why can't we just kill all the eyes instead of having a thf run them? Am I the only that tought of this >.>? or is there a reason why we can't? just a thought ^_^;;

you should try killing them and going for the extra 2 15 minute timers in that region. that's the way they originally intended it to be done, and most of the eyes only spawn 1-2 shadows, so if people are on the ball with bind and gravity, its not so bad.

of course, that last area, the ramp leading up to the tower, have a thf sac the mess off while someone grabs the trigger eye

We've tried killing them. I think its easy enough to do it this way. Also leaves us with more then enough time to kill attestation NMs. That's the main worry. Could takes us quite a while to kill our way through.

I really like this idea, in fact I'll volunteer for it. I was able to get half way up the slope, then i came back down to continue running the direction i was headed, and nothing popped while i was up there. If I had gone any further up, the entire ramp would have been clogged with the massive train of hydras, defeating the purpose of the run. I just wish that one of us could have made it up to the top. I agree with Radav on the point about having two THF. From my perspective, we'd need one of us to lead the charge (pop a damned poison pot this time eh?), and continue past the ramp, while the hit squad goes up the ramp and THF #2 aggros everything at the top clearing the way for the eye to be dropped. Obviously, we dont know yet if anything is up there or not, but I'd bet that there is, and that there's a ton of them. As far as I could tell, with the sheer number of eyes and hydras just on the way to the ramp, it would just be a bad idea trying to go through killing them all. There are just too many of them, and each eye was spawning 2 or 3 hydras (can't remember which), and it would take us the entire run to get there leaving no time to do anything else. That and the fact that we would still need a sacrifice aggro at the top if Radav's wall of eyes theory is correct. Anyway, I'd like to volunteer to be one of the THF to do this if this is our strategy.
