Relic Horn Is garbage.
Other server BRD got level 4 Horn and Tested Ballad. It's only Duration Increase, no extra +MP / tick.
In fact, all the 4th level Relic Weapons seem like garbage. I have yet to hear of a Dynamis WS that was somehow better than other existing WS.

How would he even know that guy just posting in a online journal. Is there ever pics of the horn or any relic ws? No so we can't really take this for fact people can write whatever they want in those journals. I wouldn't belive a lot of stuff on the internet often its not all correct.

I'm afraid the source seems to have no weight because there is no accountability. How much should Faranim know for sure about a bard on a server he isn't on? This is why I don't read much into the blogs.

However, from a gut feeling, I don't think ballad+2 would enhance the mp/tick, only the duration. Something which enhances the mp/tick would say, "Enhances 'Ballad' effect."

If ballad+2 were to give more mp, mazurka+2 shouuld have made you run faster, and hymnus+2 should cost you less exp on death. Has anyone even tried the Ebony harp (paeon+) to see if it enhances the HP regeneration effect?

I'm aware that madrigal+ enhances accuracy more, minuet+ enhances the attack bonus, minne+ enhances defense, and so forth. But those are variable effect spells. They are all based on current singing/instrument skill levels, so it makes perfect sense that common song+ instruments would have a similar effect to raising the singing skill a bit.

Ballad, Paeon, and Mazurka, on the other hand, are clearly fixed-strength songs. It doesn't matter what your singing skill is: Ballad 2 always gives 2mp/tick and Mazurka always makes you run a certain % faster if no other speed bonus overwrites it.

This doesn't make the final stage of relic horn worthless; I feel it only prevents it from becoming overpowering. It's still considerably better than anything else out there, and when it comes to luxury, that's all that Square needs to know that it's worth it.

Ebony harp +1 does give 1-2hp/tick more than ebony harp/no harp (based on song/string skill) I have noticed that Harlequin Horn does give a "slight" increase in speed to mazurka (maybe 5% more than without, hard to gauge)

Angel Lyre seems to be the only instrument that only effects length, not strength...rather upsetting considering the cost.
