If you intend to steal our database and layout, at least give credit.
Thanks.

Actually, no.
My work, which you clearly stole, is exactly that: MY work for MY linkshell. I did not give you permission--nor did you ask--to take it and/or create a derivative of it. I will not accept attribution as a legitimization of theft.
While maybe I should be flattered that you felt the need to plagiarize my system instead of doing some work to come up with your own, I'm pretty irate considering exactly how much we DO provide the community with already.
I'm removing the reports from public access so that this is not an issue again.

What Teo said!
I know it's malicious and immature, but god I wish I knew of a vulnerability in our code so I could exploit it on this fucker.

He could have only copied and pasted the layout design elements, he would have to write the rest of the code himself.

Still doesn't change the fact that it is a direct copy/paste of something another person wrote without asking for permission. I mean shit, he didn't even change the theme.

Agreed.

Well, now that I've had a chance to sleep on it a little:
The current design takes a number of elements from Sephffg's old memberlist design. So it's not entirely truthful to say it's only mine, because although I did rewrite all the code involved, the main presentation system is an extension of Sephffg's (and Sykes' too, if he had helped with it) original work.
To those that have asked us through PMs about being able to access the system we have set up for use with your own linkshells: I appreciate the interest, but unfortunately not at this time. The scripts I currently have need a great deal of optimization and revision before they would be in a state that I would consider to be distributable. If we get there (ever), they'll be made available in the public section of the forums.

You can still see it Q_Q, just login to the forum and click the link.
WOW that guy totally ripped of the database system...
the sad truth is that as long as the internet exists (which it will for a very long time), and assholes like that you cant avoid this kind of shit. I had a similar situation this semester in school where someone stole my code for my design project.
All it took was a few minutes going to the washroom and my design code was copied from my computer... few days later some random person was asking me for help... i look at his code and guess what? its my code i wrote :S... the guy didnt even bother to change the fucking comments which i placed to begin with. There goes two weeks of work, for the rest of the people to use as they like...
I would totally msg him and give him a piece of your mind about this in one way or another.

Lesson of the thread: Always code a secret backdoor in your programs for when someone steals your project.

All they stole is the layout of it. You cannot steal the actual PHP unless you hack into the server.

Showing my age or virus-infested lack of brains...what's a gibson? I'm sure you're not referring to the cocktail by that name.

See the movie Hackers. One of the best, yet worst Hollywood adaptations of what goes on in cybernerdadminville (aka SysAdminLand).
Best because admins really are evil. And wear trenchcoats. And beards. And fight idiot hackers who connect to the servers by laptops and payphones taped together earpiece-to-mouthpiece.
Worst because, well, NO ONE CAN HACK THE GIBSON! (ref. William Gibson)
EDIT: BESTEST cuz you get to see Angelina Jolie's boobies <3!

I have to agree. I've seen this movie at least 100 times, and I simply can't get enough. It's also living proof that Angelina's had one hell of a boob job somewhere along the line.

While I can't recommend watching Hackers 100 times, I can say that the Hackers and Hackers II "soundtracks" (most tracks were "inspired" by the movie) were what turned me on to Trance music.

I heard the 2nd was so horrible Q_Q. Was it really that bad?

The answer is still: there hasn't been a Hackers 2. There's been 3 "soundtracks" for the original movie, labeled "Hackers" "Hackers 2" and "Hackers 3". You can see all the soundtracks on Amazon.com.

Takedown (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0159784/) is often referred to as Hackers 2, but it has no actual connection to the original movie. And yes, it was that bad.
