In light of recent events on Valefor, I figure this is a good time to mention this ...
While our forums are pretty secure (I use complex passwords that are different for every site), it is important to remember that all PMs are stored in the database in plain text. That means that in the unlikely event that someone who shouldn't be able to was able to get direct access to the forum database, they would be able to read all posts, PMs, etc.
I highly suggest that you not send any confidential information via PM (eg. POL ID and password). If you have sent it in the past, the PM must be deleted from both the sender's and the recipient's mailbox to actually be deleted from the database. If you do elect to send info via PM, I would delete it immediately after sending/reading it for good measure.
