Hey, can you guys post your results of your attestation run? Your forum is one of the many resources i scour looking for new information on things like attestation runs, and seeing as the ls i'm in is about to start doing these too, it would be nice to share information.
my theories are either
a.) fight to the far west tower, kill a trigger eye there, then the 5 shadow nm's pop in the other towers.
b.) kill the 4 giant dynamis statues in the map to pop the eye which then pops the shadows.
on the shadows, from what i've gathered, they each have 3 jobs, which would make sense then that they drop an attestation randomly for one of their jobs.
anyways, i'm looking forward to hearing what you learn from your run, and good luck.

so??? so??? How'd it go?
you're killing me! :p
We had about 44 people show up if i remember correctly. It went slow. Didn't actually make it to the tower and kill the eye nm. We got to a point with like 5 eyes and which spawn 5 shadows. At that point had a full wipe out and little time left. So didn't actually get to fight the assertion NMs.

With more people and a better idea of what we need I think next time we can do alot better. We got to the Shadow area with about 1 hour 15 min. left and got to the point where the path veers off and goes up toward the tower with the eye NM.
After thinking about it and discussing this with some of the LS members. We have decided that the only way to do this and have any time for attestation NMs we will need to do some major suicide mission. Possibly sending an "assasin" team with some suiciders to clear the path as the assasin team gets to the eye. Or another suggestion was to make all pulls a sort of suicide where we the puller aggroes the eye the eye is pulled then the puller dies where the eye was. This way we seperate the eye from the shadow which was a major issue.
Next time we attempt this I'll post what our results are.
I think that it was just the lack of people that caused us to lose. And it was pointed out that we had 11 Paladins on that run. As a Paladin myself I know how little damage they do to the monsters in dynamis. But we had full run we could kill the monsters faster with much more time left. I don't think the Eye and shadow are that much of a problem we just killed the eyes too slow.

Teorem posted a link to a journal that has pics of an LS killing 3 of the 5 Attestation NMs in one run. They each dropped an attestation. From what he says they killed the three shadow mobs and the eye that leads up to the shadow area and the Eye that pops the attestation NMs. I have pm'd and e-mailed him to find out what exactly they did to do this. Unless they did some crazy Suicide run or their is a secret path up to that tower I have no idea how this could be done. The pics are their to prove it and I have to say I'm amazed.

hmm very interesting. well, we are planning on doing one of these runs soon, so here are some specific questions that could really help us...
1.) how do the shadows deal with getting slept? is it a bard only thing, or does sleepga stick? or do they just not sleep at all?
2.) what path do you take? do you just head right to the eye that pops the NM's in the west tower? I'm still no sure if the eye is up automatically from the start, or if those 4 giant Dynamis Tombstone bosses from the main cities spread out across the map have to be cleared to pop that eye.
3.) if you dont need to kill the 4 Tombstone bosses, then what the hell are they for? They've gotta serve some purpose or goal...
lastly, do you guys know there are two extra 15 minute time extensions (2 eyes that give 15 minutes each) in shadow area? you can get a total of 4 hours in this map as opposed to the cities where you can get max 3 and a half. one of them is towards the zone to Xarcabard, the other is closer to the west tower with the Eye, east of where you go up the narrow bath to the tower. they are marked in the portion of the map attached.
btw, what was that link with the pics of the 3 shadow NM's?

1. Shadows don't sleep. Lullaby doesn't work, RDM sleep doesn't work. So Bind, Gravity, and marathoning are your best friend.
2. I'll post the link to the livejournal. According to the guy who killed these NMs they didn't touch the dynamis icons.
3. Still no idea on the dynamis icons. I was told a while back that they have something to do with Angra Manyu's dragons.
The 2 extra time extensions is a big thing. I never knew of those. We were really close to getting 1 of those. The other one was in the opposite direction to where we were going.
Here's the link to the journal.

Well as you see from Faranim's response we won't be getting the information the easy way. So we'll have to get it the "hard" way. We'll do an attestation run again sometime. When we do it will have us either killing our way there or clearing the path with a speedy thief using perfect dodge.

this is some great information. its nice to get some confirmation/clarification on these theories ive had.
i think a good time saving idea is to fight with the alliance up to the second extra (eye) time extension (you should have gotten 1:30 in time extensions after that dies). send two thfs with flee in to the western tower, one perfect dodging and in the lead to aggro every thing. the second one grabs the eye and brings it back to the alliance alone. now you should have time to go kill the 3 closest shadow NM's and there is still another 60 minutes of time extensions available on the way to the last two towers. A run like this could probably kill all 5 shadow NMs.
I wonder if the group really kept moving if there would be time to kill the boss as well :D
Hahahah "Sharing Strategies is a big nono." Doesn't sound like the nicest guy in the world.

Why anyone wouldnt share strategy on dynamis is beyond me. Its not like a HNM where some rival can show up and outclaim you. Noones gonna steal your Taruroaster Biggsjig.

in most of the dynamis raids i go to, about 90% of the people really dont know whats going on outside of the few mobs they are fighting at the time. so i'm guessing probably he doesn't know exactly what they did and how they did it, but chose the "im not gonna tell" cover up to hide that fact :D

I'm sure he knows the general strategy being used to get to the attestation NMs (you'd have to be really spaced out not to know), but I'm slightly puzzled as to why he has to make it a point not to share strategy. If I remember correctly, this guy was one of the first to FRAPS a BCNM40, where he was a ranger.
Since the NMs are strong and need heavy, in some cases very fast, damage, they need the whole group there. And if they didn't fight all the hydra mobs but three at the entrance, that means 1) they didn't get agro passing through using some MGS, or 2) they had one or more people training all the mobs away to clear the path, or 3) they had a special pulling group on top of all that training, which brings the NM all the way back without linking anything else.
Somewhere on the journal, Faranim made a comment regarding the hydra not sharing hate. That's the strongest suggestion that they did suicide pulling of some sort, because one would only know that if there were mobs artificially moved out of linking range.
I think the question now is exactly how to pull and how many people of which jobs to use. The hydra travel pretty fast, but they chase you only after a delay upon agro'ing the eyes. The eyes themselves can cast all sorts of spells, among them poisonga2 and sleep2/-ga2, but most take too long to land to be of any worry to a fleeing person.
