So we'll take the rest of the week off from dynamis. Everyone has different HNM LSs they do things with etc. Our normal run times are things people set aside time to make. So I'm sure we could get the people for a run sometime between now and saturday I'm just not sure it would be too many.

So I'm putting this up to a vote. Just an update I'm also still mired in a battle with a nasty virus I think I finally found a fix for. I thought I had it late last night and then it all came rushing back. Anyway make a vote and voice your opinion.

I'll tell you this is what I think we should do. Farming run for Beaucidine on Wednesday try for some attestations and then try for kicking Dynamis Lords ass again next sunday.

I'm curious though, if it really DOES take 60+ 100-piece currency to upgrade a weapon to the fourth stage, is it worth trying to farm attestations now? Honestly in lieu of getting attestations that even the people who want them won't be able to use for another year (minimum), what about sticking to a route that will more reliably produce extra artifact and money pieces that everyone can use?

Er, lemme amend that last post. I don't mean that we Shouldn't try for some Attestations. I'm kinda curious to see the Shadow NM's myself, and kill them. (I also wanna see what's up on the plateau in Xarcabard, leading to the Uleguerand Range zone/genkai2 monster...)

What I mean is, would these runs solely be focused on killing those huge icons (and their links) to reach the shadows? Would there be some farming involved, e.g. time extension statues?

We did fight the shadows once however no assertions drop. From what I heard mostly the same job that uses that weapon will drop that assertion. However on the way to the shadow area we did kill many normal AF droping monsters. I am not sure but the shadows may drop af too as well.

Anyway I am free to do stuff all this weekend friday - sunday. Lets do something I don't want to be bored all week. lol

The way an attestation run would work is. We go and get all time extensions. So that almost always leaves us with about an hour of time left. If we really make a concerted effort to be quick I think we can get 1 hour 30 min. After this we then need to suicide pull each dynamis icon as we head back up to where the Shadows are. Just takes coordination and everyone sticking together as we go from icon to icon. It might also be smarter to just do these as we go. Since they are all on the way as we make our path to time mobs.

I don't think we have a way around splitting the team up to do the two tasks simultaneously. Right now, when we go through Beaucedine with all 6x of us together, people complain about lag, monsters die before some even run up to them, etc.

We need the full force on hand for the shadows, but we should be fine with half force doing the time extension routes and getting the dynamis icons suicide pulled and killed. I think it would be most efficient if each team were capable of doing dynamis icons as well as going through the normal time extenders - the routes are spread far enough that it would not be practical to make one team entirely work on dynamis icons.

And now... a thought about the process of getting attestations. How reliable is the source that tells us we need to kill all dynamis icons? It seems we have never accomplished this, so when all icons die, do we have information about any repops or significant events in the dynamis zone to be wary of? For all I knew, those shadows we met last time could have been reached by going a straight route not killing anything, time extenders or dynamis icons. A BST friend-of-a-friend tells me that the attestations drop from Hydra NMs, and it doesn't sound like he meant Hydra Beastmaster, for example, as that is more of a normal mob.

I only have the information Ive seen on a few Bulletin Boards. Kill all the Dynamis Icons then the Hydra NMs spawn in the shadow areas. We have only tried to kill all the icons 1 time. So can't really say whether or not this is true. If we can get 60+ people together with 8+ BLMs we can split the group we just need to make sure everyone is aware of what is happening.

Just thinking of our path (which I know by heart now) here is what I think splitting the group would look like. We would stay together and make these pulls as a full group. Large number of mobs at these would make it crazy not to do this. The 1st. goblin pull, then move along the path towards the Yag Icon. Kill Yag icon together. Then we move down to the Qadav area clear that out and send the 1st group on their way to get the Orc NMs and 2 time extensions there. (Orc group will be range heavy obviously to deal with Orc NMs.) The other group taking care of the Qadav NMs, the 2 time extensions there, and the Qadav Icon. Thinking about this more it would make more sense to send maybe a 65% 35% group each way. I think 18 could handle the Qadav and goblin area easily. Where the orc stuff the first orc pull is alot of mobs. After Qadav area is clear we head back up to the goblin area and take out the Gob Icon and get the 1 time extension left there. Orc team gets their time extension and makes suicide pull on the Orc Icon there. Then after this is complete meet up with the smaller group at the shadow area.

I can think of the alliances for this already. There area lot of ways to try and split up and take this down. We might wanna go together and head straight for the orcs clear that out as a full alliance then split up and do the Qadav and Goblin seperately. The # of mobs that spawn on the goblin and Qadav pulls is pretty small and should be no problem for 18 to deal with. I worry about sending a small group to go down that valley where we have been owned a few times on our way to that lake where Taruroaster is.

Ok i was reading this JP site about the shadow NMs for assertions

http://ff11.s33.xrea.com/dynamis/beaucedine.shtml

http://ff11.s33.xrea.com/dynamis/beaucedine.gif

Basically it didn't say anything about the dynamis statues however it did say how to pop the Shadow NM.

Accroding to the site there is an eye in the F-7 tower that when it is killed it will pop the assertion NMs at each tower on the map.

Shadow NM NM info
Goublefaupe - WHM BLM BRD - Pop at H-8 Tower
Velesareon - ??? - Pop at J-8 Tower
Mildaunegeux - MNK THF NIN - Pop at H-10 Tower
Dagourmarche - DRG SMN - Pop at G-9 Tower
Quiebitiel - PLD WAR RDM - Pop at I-7 Tower

Wow Zumi thats some great information. Well if we can ignore the dynamis icons altogether then we have a much less intense task to undertake. Thats really far up into the shadow area. Any suggestions for what we should do here? I think saving time by splitting the group should still be done. Anything else though?
