To me, it looks like the PlayOnline registration server is down; alternately, perhaps the entire NA support center is down. Calling the support center number results in a busy signal. The java chat window has no response (I've had it up for over an hour now).


Of course, it could just be the flood of players trying to log back on and contact service/support about this issue, but since FFXI makes periodic checks with the PON registration server to make sure you're a valid player, and you're online (so no one else can login as you while you play), everyone's gonna get booted sooner or later.

I sure hope this gets fixed soon - It's like dangling a loaded crackpipe in front of an addict~ I WANT MY FFXI! T.T


EDIT: meantime, I can get some other important stuff out of the way, like a virus & spyware scan (put off since Oct :P), and BEJEWELED TWO! Woo hoo!

Wow I got through to the Javascript Chat support finally! The poor overworked support rep finally broke out of his script and said there were 204 other ppl waiting in queue. He did confirm that there are problems connecting to servers though (as if we needed confirmation of that...).
