How do you guys deal with .. well .. As the title of this post suggests - random stupidity. Let's say, for example, you have a monk that has been with your team for months and months. He has 4/5 AF2. He is a very good player, knows who to assist, knows when to Boost and Chi as he waits the puller. Suddenly he goes on a rampage of popping unpopped stones, dying, begging for raises, etc ( in general, being a dynamis nub ) in the midst of a hot, but tiring dynamis?
In our case, this person "turned out" to have fallen asleep, and his brother/friend ran around with his character.
BTW: I call a "hot" dynamis any dynamis in which you have 45 minutes or more left when the "???" appears. And you know when you're going to have so much time left.

Well I think Radav has a great moment of "Random Stupidity" under his belt after the last Windrust event :P
I dropped my glass, and then notice that classic blue text:
Radav>> "Crap I'm a dumbass"
turn just before I zone out to see the once dancing Yagudo's all selected as Red coming back to pound down the still Weakened LS around the ??? :P
I'm sure Radav could tell it better. It was just funny thinking we're done, and then I see Radav's hp go 0, wtf? then random blm's go 0 wtf?! zone.

Ahh we have had similar things happen.
When I started reading your post I was all set to post that it was probably not him but a friend playing, then I read the rest of the post and you told us it was.
We have had this happen several times. If someone has plans they can't break and are a respected member and need the ??? then we would let a friend stand around in a safe spot to get it. On the other hand one guy let his brother play and he just stood around the whole event and Radav busted his pearl.
Greatest moment in stupidity was at Windurst in my opinion. We always hug the wall at the house near Heaven's Tower to avoid fighting it so I hold DONT AGGRO THE HOUSE training for first time members before a windurst run. What I do is make them all go around the house and back while me and a couple members watch. If anyone doesnt hug the wall perfectly I say "Had we been inside Dynamis you would have just got us all killed START OVER". I do it like a drill sergeant. Anyhow, one time about 12 guys were hugging the wall and one of them walks over to the house, opens the door, and walks inside. I probably didn't explain something right but that did bring a tear to my eyes.

We used to do that.... sort of gave up though. Often, it seems, trying to sneak past just leads to killing it all anyway. That area is really quite easy to pull, IF your puller knows what he's doing and IF noone else is near when all the pops come. Just pull from left to right, and run like crazy when you pull the stone - the pops appear to the left, and will take a moment to aggro, but shouldn't link the rest of the house. After that's done, the rest is just step by step, until you get to the final 2 stones and the RNG.
Windurst, I find, is easier if you just steadily pull-pull-pull whether people are ready or not.
Final boss, noone should be sick. Use a RDM/DRK to Chainspell Stun the boss, and everyone destroys it before Chainspell and the PLD's invincible runs out. (Then someone goes on the bridge and raises the puller, who got Deathed, inevitably unless he has Powder Boots).
