Attention!!! Updated strategies located here (http://www.dynamisbums.com/strategy/tav.html).
1
Defeat Nightmare Bugard for 15 minute time extension. Located at zone to Phomiuna Aqueducts.
Nightmare Bugard:
Awful Eye - LoS STR Down (STR-?), Petrify
Bone Crunch - ST damage, Plague
Heavy Bellow - AoE Stun
Scutum - Defense Bonus
Tail Roll - LoS damage
2
Move to third floor and set camp right at top of steps. Everyone should avoid Nightmare Hornet aggro from the hall ways on second floor and take a path directly from the bottom floor passed the altar and up the steps to third floor.
Defeat Nightmare Antlion located on third floor (not down any tunnels) for 30 Minute time extension (both Antlion and Worm must be defeated in order to get subjobs back)
Nightmare Antlion:
Mandible Bite - ST damage
Pit Ambush - heavy ST damage (on aggro)
Sandblast - AoE Blind, Silence
Venom Spray - LoS Venom (-50HP/3s)
3
Move to second floor and defeat Nightmare Worm to unlock sub jobs. Worm pops from beneath the ground at a random location in the circle around the bridge. Be sure to avoid Nightmare Hornet aggro while fighting and make sure you know where you are facing when it does draw in move.
Nightmare Worm:
Draw In (all alliance members, active or KO'd and anyone outside alliance with hate)
Sound Vacuum - AoE Silence
Stone V, Stonega III
Tremors - heavy AoE damage, DEX Down (DEX-?, diminishes)
4 Going for the win
All alliance members move north passed all of the Diablos NPCs without aggroing them. They are true sight but are not difficult to get passed if everyone is patient. Do not follow each other or the last person in the line will surely aggro a moving npc.
If someone does get aggro do not panic it is ok to aggro a single one. If more than one is aggroed you will have to fight more than one diablos at the same time which has not been done by this linkshell therefore is not recommended.
Once everyone is completely passed all the npcs have one person aggro a single NPC. This will pop a either Diablos Diamond, Heart, Club, Spade, and/or Shard (Diablos pet) which can be killed to win the zone. Once Diablos is defeated examine ??? for key item. At this point all other Diablos NPCs will despawn.
Here is some limited information I have on Diablos thanks to Teorem:
Special Abilities
Cacodemonia - AoE Curse - Diamond, Club?
Camisado - ST damage (Shard's is AoE) - Spade, Club?, Shard
Daydream - ST Charm - Diamond
Dream Shroud - MAB/MDB (dispellable) - Spade, Heart?
Hypnogenesis - LoS damage - Diamond
Nether Tempest - AoE Nether Blast (~661) - Heart
Nightmare - AoE Sleep/Bio - Diamond, Spade?
Noctoshield - Phalanx (dispellable) - Spade, Club?, Heart?
Ruinous Omen - AoE HP random % down - Club, Spade?
Sweeping Somnolence - LoS damage, Gravity - Spade
Ultimate Terror - AoE stat drain (2-5 random stats), Heart?
Dispelga - Heart?
Dispel - Club?, Heart?
Regular spells (across all): Aspir, Blindga, Bio III, Drain, Sleepga II
No time extension for winning but ??? spawns elsewhere in zone for 30 minute extension. If someone solo pops diablos and dies all diablos's will despawn and the ??? will spawn for time reguardless of whether you actually defeat Diablos so long as he depops.

Diabolos Spade casts no spells (he is melee only).
I think we concluded on our last victoly that if for some strange reason you wanted to fight more than 1 Diabolos, you could click another green NPC just before the Diabolos you're fighting is defeated, and the NPC should pop another copy.

I appreciate the information, gonna give it a test run on the 18th of June to see how it goes. Once again thanks for all the consistantly great information.

Hello, my LS just recently went to Tav to see how we would fair at it. We followed the notes that you had posted here and they helped greatly. My question is for the Diabolos boss, are the NPCs true sight or the spawned Diabolos mobs. Reason I ask this is I was very stuck on how to approach the boss. I read here that you had to move through the NPCs but was very unsure about it. With the NPCs having an unpredictable pathing pattern it seems very difficult to try and get 18 people through to the other side. Thank you in advance

Diabolos NPCs are true sight. The spawned Diabolos mobs do not aggro.
And yes, getting 18 people to the other side is very hard.

A little update for people who for some strange reason still farm this zone (other than us!):
We have been able to pop one of the time extension ??? marks regularly, by clearing the South tunnel of the main floor G-10/H-10, then pulling and killing the first three Vanguard Eyes and their summoned Hydras. One of the Eyes makes the ??? time extension pop in the lower tunnel around F-9/G-9, for an additional 15m I believe. A sac runner with flee boots/items can hit the ??? and make it back to the tunnel to die within tractor range.
Lately we've been exploring the top floor tunnels to see if a time extension ??? will pop in J-8. So far all we've discovered is that the north tunnel Eyes (J-7) pop Kindred and one Nightmare Taurus each, and do not make the ??? appear after death. One of the eyes at J-9 popped 3 Nightmare Taurus, and since these resist sleep a LOT (they would sleep, but for maybe 25%-50% sleep duration even with ES), we wound up mostly dead and unable to confirm if killing the 2 eyes we pulled made any ??? appear on the upper or lower area J-8/K-8. We'll keep trying!
Oh and in case other LS want to try for Hydra gear, they have a low droprate from the Nightmare Taurus, though we got lucky and had one Taurus drop both Hydra Beret and Hydra Jupon.

Was it the Taurus that have the def down or was it the hydras? Also, they are mnk types and are really hard to blink tank. Not to mention the TP moves they have are really nasty.
Oh, did anyone notice them using a shell ability? That could have been the reason for being hard to sleep? I don't have a fraps of it, but I think it was something like blessed armor, maybe.

That was my kill shot ;p Though I guess it only counts as one item since the Jupon sucks. Though the beret is awesome for WHM.

Update from Unsentlimit on Odin. We did Tavnazia again today, two alliances. The Diabolos NPC locations seemed different then our first time time but their relative aggro is really small. Most of the group managed to get through without aggroing. Near the end 1 member aggroed a second Diabolos. So we had to fight Spades and Clubs. Spades spammed Neither Blast but no spells like previously stated. Clubs was kited the entire time while Spades was killed. After Spades died and we recovered we fought Clubs. Clubs defense was significantly lower than Spades but clubs could cast Nightmare which almost wiped us. At about 10% or so Clubs splits himself and makes 2 other mini diabolos that die when he dies. We killed both and got the win.
As far as Drops go we got 1 Hydra Salade off a Nightmare Taurus.
We couldnt find the other time extension though. I'm assuming next time we cna skip Diabolos and head for one of the two levels, kill the eyes and pop the 15 min extensions.

Well just thought i would give an update on the Tav situation since we've been there a few more times. Some thing we found out:
- Diabolos Heart is almost if not impossible without Rng damage and becomes extremely hard at 20% and below. Spams drain and aspir at that point. If you pop Heart and some other Diabolos there is no chance of winning.
- Found the 30 min extension on the middle floor after killing an eye in the hallway between the AH and MH. It repops the bees in the tunnels on the middle floor, blocking an easy escape. Doesn't repop eyes or other nightmare mobs.
- Still looking for the last possible extension on the top floor, if it exists, which would make Dynamis Tav 2 hours long like the rest of the zones.
- Have had little to no luck with Hydra after the saleda drop over two months ago. Tav seems to have the same drop rate as outlands and 50x harder.
Hope this helps,

Yet another Tav Update :
Total Time allowed in Tav is 2 hours.
15 miins to start
15 min Bugard ext
30 min Antilion Ext
30 min ??? on top floor
30 min ??? on middle floor
To pop these last two 30 min ??? extensions you need to kill the vangaurd eye in the hallway connecting the MH and AH on the second floor and the two living quaters on the third floor. Once one of those eyes dies in the the hallway a ??? will spawn. It is advised that everyone leaves the area before clicking the ??? because it repops the entire floor. In each tunnel a new set of 2 bee pops and 1 vangaurd eye appears as well as multiple pops around the hallway.
Both ext are the same way and in the same place on the diff floors. Also note that you do not have to fight or even touch Diabolos in order to get the extensions.
From 2 hours of farming we got 1 war cuissas...rather dissapointing. Hope this helps.

We were aware of the extensions on both of the floors, but this:

, I was still unclear about (but maybe I've been a bit slow when it comes to Tavnazia, as I don't go all that often). This will help us in our planning for upcoming runs, thanks a lot!

My LS attempted Tavnazia for the first time last night, I wanted to thank everyone for the helpful information posted here. We didn't win, but came very close. We found out the hard way why you need to walk past the NPC's before aggro'ing them, and ended up trying to fight both Heart & Spade with only 15 people, didn't work out well.
I had a question regarding the last two TE's.
Did you guys use a sac pull to get to the Eye's which spawn the TE's?
We attempted to do the TE on the 3rd floor, we approached it through the Northwest hallway. Before getting to it we tried to clear the eye on the ramp leading to the central hallway, this seemed to link from pretty far away with the eye near the northern living quarters and spawned a good amount of demons. We did not have time to try this TE from a different angle, after wiping we gave up on that TE & went for the clear instead.
The only thought I had after seeing the link was to potentially body aggro the eye when it moved to the bottom of the ramp, and hope that if aggro'd at maximum distance it would not link with the eye above. My only other thought here was to do some form of sac pull to get to the central eye.
My other question regarding these 2 TE's was if there was a specific spot the ??? for the TE spawned in after the eye was defeated?
yes you have to sac pull it, otherwise when you kill it, all the repops on that floor spawn, and you end up wiping yourself lol

I thought the repops were not until you actually click the ??? for the TE?
I was more concerned with which approach to take to get to the central eye itself as we weren't able to reach it due to links on the north side.

ohhhh no you just gotta be crafty when you pull them

That'll teach me to let the Thf pull!
That'll teach me to let the Thf pull!
hahah you just gotta wait, till the eyes move into opposite paths and get it when its furthest away. your biggest problem will be the mage mobs that pop and decide to cast AM on you and stand there till the other eye comes back and aggros too Q_Q. there is a bit of luck involed in those pulls too lol
Garret

I think the problem was when the Thf pulled he started /ra when the Eye was closest to us, but the shot didn't go off until it had begun to head back, so this ended up throwing off the pull a bit. Probably would have been better to use Flash or another ability in order to aggro as quickly as possible. Oh well, live & learn.
Is it more advisable to go to both TE from the southern paths?
The only one we attempted was the northern path on the 3rd floor.

Was just thinking of this before sleeping. Have any Body -1 pieces ever dropped in Tavnazia? With us or anywhere else?
If not, then I think that's pretty much the only reason why we would ever want to farm the Pugils/Leeches/etc that are in the lower hallways of the main and upper levels.

I think the hard part is getting to those mobs after you get the TE repops. Just not enough time left.

Yes, and we will be doing this at our next double Tavnazia run.

What kain mentioned is one of the biggest problems with farming Tav.So i have been working on a quick "sac pull" way to get the time ext.
second floor(hydra)
1.clear both north and south bees.
2.clear the first eye in the tunnel from the south entrance.
3.from the middle of the tunnel at g-10 have a thf flee and aggro all the eyes folowing the right wall all the way to the middle of h-8(by dieing in the middle of the hall way the mobs will not aggro the alliance)
4.as soon as the thf uses flee have the nin/war and war/nin run in and voke the 2 eyes right outside of the tunnel and bring them back to the alliance;at the same time have the 2 pld(with movement speed+ armor) run in and get the 2 eyes in the upper hall way(the middle eye that does not move spawns the time ext ??? i think).
5.kite the eyes till all of them are dead to avoid -ga spamming.
6.after all the eyes are dead have the thf 2h flee run in and get the ??? then run back to the middle circle. The alliance should at this point already be on the third floor so no one gets aggro.
From what i have noticed the eyes almost always stop and cast when they are aggroed(not 100% shure about this);this should give the 4 pullers the time to run in and claim.Since provoke has a smaller range then flash I had the pld getting the eyes at f-9 in case they started to move.
Useing this would not allow further farming on the second floor since there would be too many links due to the mobs that pop from the ??? time ext.
The same thing can be done for the top floor(in the event that farming the second floor was the objective)but i am not 100% shure of the eye placement.
