View Full Version : Dynamis-Xarcabard Information

I don't really have much information but there are a few things I have run across.
1. The areas we pick to fight in are out in the open and are surrounded by aggro statues that we can not afford to touch. So everyone needs to be conscious of where they are.
2. Related to number 1, we will be moving through here at the best path we can getting the time extensions and clearing only what we need to continue forward. So people need to be very careful in their movements. No auto-run should be use or auto-follow.
3. All people who have a tank job need to bring it and be fully equipped. The mobs in Dynamis-Xarcabard are all demons. They are highly resistant to Dark magic so sleeps from BLMs and RDMs will last for very short time if they land at all. What does this mean for you tanks?? I'll be designating a main tank to follow what Kayoto/Prophecize (I really hope to see you here tomorrow Proph.) will be targetting for the melee alliance. The other Tanks will be marathoning Adds around our alliance while the sleepers try to get them asleep. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. All tanks need to do this so that the melee can do their job unimpeded. This point will be the key to us being successful.
4. Everyone should take a look at this map. Please print it out and keep it in front of you as we go through the zone tomorrow.

I know the maps in pieces but if you print the pages out its does a great job of showing where we need to go.

here are some bit of info (becareful of spoilers) on kiyonehime's journal http://www.livejournal.com/users/kiyonehime/21954.html
let me copy the important part
Very little incident getting the first 4 time extensions and the 15 NMs required to pop DynamisLord. Getting to the final path down to Zvahl Hills proved deadly, lol.
There are 6 Vanguard Eyes blocking the path down... and they are positioned in such a way that getting one will aggro the line, making this chain reaction/domino effect.
and
I had, of course, heard that Ying and Yang need to be killed at the same time... but I always pictured it to be that they become invincible unless they were killed at the same time... Turns out, you can kill one... but about 45 seconds later, one will summon the other... >.> which in the end doesn't matter, because Dynamis Lord will summon both of them again later... >_<;
another note when fighting dragons ying and yang. like all other shadowy type dragons, they have a terribly powerful aoe move that can kill mage in area, becareful with this, thankfully it can be blinked.... by a good ninjutsu nin, it's really hard to tank it after blink nerf, since it can eat all of your blinks, to all mages, DONT COME NEAR THE SHADOW TYPE DRAGON AT ALL, and PREPARE BLINK. oh and the wyvern type dragon can use silence breath like seiryu, becareful, don't stand in front of it.

I actually read on a japanese site about the six eye spot. They said you should blow up the time icon that is positioned behind the eyes to make sure you get the time before a total wipe occurs. At that point I think we will back way up make this a really long pull to try and string out the mobs and statues.
Does anyone have a good idea for the Yin and Yang dragons??
2 ways I can see doing it.
1. The whole alliance fights 1 dragon down to very small health. Then we fight the other dragon down to minimal health. At this point have BLMs nuking each dragon seperately to blow them up at the same time.
2. Divide the alliance in half and have each half take on one dragon at a time. Reporting HP % as they go. Once down to sliver of HP BLMs/RDMs nuke on my call. Hopefully blowing it up at same time.

Hi,
I run DynamisLegion, on Fenrir Server. We're a sort of mix-country Dynamis, but today ( aproximately 10 hours from the time of this message ) will be our first Dynamis - Xarcabard Trip. I guess where should I go, what should I do? is the biggest question ... Maybe I look like a nub, but I figure, better to ask questions and look like a nub - than to keep quiet, learn nothing, and prove it.

Read the same thing on a japanese site. Didn't work. Japanese don't really use that advice either. That's just from windurst dynamis. If you really "Must" save time, just pull from the bridge past the AH and surprise people with a buncha stones. (Again, windurst)
Now, if you can divide your alliance up, and people actually call out .. well, then your dynamis is full of 100% english speakers who never fail to listen - and that, my friend, is a blessing. On Fenrir, we are becomming well known as a good dynamis team. JP who come with us are surprised by the way we communicate to eachother without words. We know where to go, what to do, who to assist. In fact they say we are "hotter" than JP teams - we don't need instruction, because we communicate multilingually in different languages. But, such feats as splitting an alliance up?
If you still have people making parties of... some tanks, some fighters, some ... Okay, I think you've gone wrong.

I won't go into crazy detail about what we do in terms of our alliances. Its probably alot different then what you do. But we have 1 special alliance made up of just BLMs, BRDs to refresh the BLMs, and the pulling party that has our puller, a few PLDs to marathon statues, RDMs to sleep and refresh, and a bard for sleeping as well.
We actually had no problem pulling off the timing of killing Ying and Yang. We just had 2 alliances split and each attack a different dragon. Then when it got to less then 10% on one that alliance stopped till the other was ready. Then when they were both low we had the BLMs launch a last volley of Nukes to finish them both off.
A few helpful hints about going through Dynamis Xarcabard. Make sure you kill the Arimans as fast as possible. They have extremely high magic defense so you need to kill them with melee. Another one is follow the order on the map that is posted here. Go through the numbers. Each pull you should either get a time extension or be killing Demon NMs that are used to pop the second to last time extension you get.

I think our linkshell does things a bit differently than any I have come across.
Our linkshell has a revolving door of membership due to it being open to the public.
We have had 240+ members and we always have first timers to the particular zone we are doing. We are the only NA dynamis linkshell on Phoenix.
It may have hurt us in some ways, but overall I think it has been a good thing for our server in general (I have heard that some servers have a real problem with hnm camping but our's isn't that bad at all). I think by having representatives from all NA linkshells on our server come to dynamis it has made it a more cooperative place (at least for those level 70+) The fresh meat (err talent) always keeps the spirit and determination of the linkshell going too.
As far as alliances. These are split into specific units so that they can communicate within themselves. The linkshell chat is nearly non exsistant as those fighting mobs, those sleeping mobs, and those nuking statues all know what they need to do and dont really need to cross communicate that often. Party communciation is frequent however. I don't know what its like on Fenrir but on our runs alot of members cant see everyones character model due to lag so communication may be needed. I don't really have this problem so maybe some people need to get better connection or PC.
All I have to say about the dynamis lord is everything you have heard about how hard this guy is was probably a gross understatement. You absolutely need to go all out and expect to reraise to defeat him. I have heard he can be kited somewhat but we haven't tried that yet. As a side note I corked off a Thundaga 3 on the lord and Ying and Yang that hit for over 1k damage and they turned to me but I ran a short distance down the slope and they did not follow. After everyone was dead they returned to the Castle and did not come after me.
It is essential to follow Radavs path precisely because everything else we have had the privlige to pull results in a huge link of eyes and demons

hey that map isn't loading for me could someone post another link or host it or something. I'm pretty sure I'll just be /follow on Radav the whole time but I'd still like it for reference.
